AI as a Strategic Challenge

A Guide for Supervisory Boards

Artificial intelligence (AI) is rapidly transforming how companies operate. It brings new opportunities, but also significant challenges. For members of supervisory boards, this means the need to understand its potential, its impact on strategy, as well as the risks related to business operations or corporate groups, regulatory compliance, and ethics.

As part of the activities of the Polish Institute of Independent Directors (SNCRN), we have compiled up-to-date information and materials to support informed oversight of AI implementation and use within organizations — with a focus on long-term value creation, responsibility, and security.

Below, we present our publication “AI as a Strategic Challenge. A Guide for Supervisory Boards” — a comprehensive body of knowledge for supervisory board members. The document analyzes current challenges and provides examples of practical strategies that can help companies compete effectively in the global market.
