Damian is a graduate of the Kelley School of Business at Indiana University (USA) and holds an MBA from INSEAD (France). He is a senior executive and board professional with over 25 years of international experience, including more than 15 years in C-level and supervisory board roles across complex, regulated and operationally demanding sectors. His work has spanned the United States, Finland, Hungary and Poland, with regional responsibilities across North and South America, Europe and Asia.
He currently serves on the Supervisory Board of PLL LOT S.A., where he is a member of both the Strategy & Fleet Committee and the Audit Committee. In parallel, he advises companies across Central and Eastern Europe through his advisory firm, Beyond Advice, focusing on business growth, strategy and transformation. He also supports innovation ecosystems as a mentor and jury member in programmes such as StartSmart CEE and the European Startup Prize for Mobility.
Over the course of his career, Damian has led or supported strategic and operational initiatives involving service launches, performance improvement, business model transformation and M&A transactions — on both the buyer and seller side. He has worked with organisations such as American Airlines, Enterprise Rent-A-Car, Stora Enso, Kompania Piwowarska, CTL Logistics, Kolaja & Partners, Wizz Air, Railway Business Forum and Arriva.
As a board member, Damian is valued for his integrity, commercial acumen and ability to ask insightful questions that drive meaningful discussion. He brings independent judgment and a strong analytical foundation, while promoting trust-based, collaborative relationships with both management and fellow board members.
