A leader with 25 years of experience in the financial sector. Karolina holds a Ph.D. in Economics from Warsaw School of Economics and a Global Executive MBA degree from INSEAD. She is a dedicated volunteer, lecturer, and mentor.
She has gained extensive expertise working with renowned organizations including EY, Provident, Santander, and Nest Bank. In recent years, as Vice President of the Management Board, COO, and CIO, she has overseen a broad spectrum of banking operations, covering technology, data management, artificial intelligence, transformation initiatives, cybersecurity, operations and settlements, logistics, and digital banking. Karolina specializes in building and developing high-performing teams that consistently achieve outstanding results.
Karolina graduated in International Economic and Political Relations (2001) and Marketing and Management (2000) from Warsaw School of Economics. Additionally, she completed the International Business as part of the DIS Program (University of Copenhagen), studies in Psycho-dietetics at SWPS University, and the Personal Leadership Program at the ICAN Institute. She currently serves as a lecturer at SWPS University.
Throughout her career, Karolina has been dedicated to people development, creating substantial business value, aligning strategic objectives with technological innovation, ensuring dynamic growth, implementing automation, driving business model transformations, and cultivating agile, trust-based organizational cultures that promote rapid growth and high employee engagement.
She actively promotes corporate governance standards and respect for diversity. For many years, Karolina has passionately supported initiatives aimed at developing women’s leadership competencies. She is deeply engaged in empowering women through her involvement with the Business Leaders Foundation, Women in e-Business Foundation and Vital Voices.
Karolina holds certifications as a Certified Internal Auditor (CIA), Project Management Professional (PMI), PRINCE Practitioner, and Lean Six Sigma practitioner.
