Active on the financial market since 1992. Holder of securities broker license no. 147. In the years 1992-1994 he worked at the Securities and Exchange Commission (currently KNF) as Deputy Director of the Commission’s Secretariat. In subsequent periods he gained extensive experience in managing financial institutions. He held the positions of, among others, Member of the Management Board and Sales Director at Dom Maklerski BIG-BG SA (currently Biuro Maklerskie Banku Millennium), Vice President of the Management Board and CFO at PZU Asset Management and TFI PZU.
In the years 2000-2016 he was associated with the Dutch insurance group Eureko BV; until 2003 he was Assistant Director in the Eureko office in Paris, and later CEO of Eureko Polska. During this period he participated in many rounds of negotiations with the Ministry of the State Treasury regarding the conflict over the sale of PZU SA shares and headed the Polish part of the team conducting the proceedings before the international arbitration tribunal on the same issue. In 2010 he actively participated in the IPO of PZU SA and the process of listing its shares on the Warsaw Stock Exchange.
He has served on the supervisory boards of PZU SA, insurance companies Union poisťovňa, a.s. and Union zdravotná poisťovňa, a.s. (Slovakia) as well as ECA-Auxilium SA and ABS Investment SA.
Michał Nastula holds a Master of Business Administration (MBA) from the European School of Management ESCP – EAP in Paris. He completed Postgraduate Studies in Value Management at the Warsaw School of Economics, and is also a graduate of the University of Warsaw, where he obtained a master’s degree in English Philology.
He is passionate about music and acting. He is a graduate of the Warsaw Film School (Acting Techniques Studies) and the F. Chopin Second Grade Music School in Warsaw (Saxophone).
