Iweta Opolska
Iweta Opolska has over 16 years of experience of energy markets. She has created and lead a team of natural gas experts at the PKN ORLEN Capital Group. The Gas Trading Office has been built from scratch: from ppt presentation to the team of over 30 professionals, trading on the Polish and international markets (Germany, Czech, Lithuania, Ukraine). Iweta’s interests and experience also includes green gases like biogas and biomethan.
Her previous experience includes corporate finance practiced at PwC in Poland and Linklaters in Germany. She holds a Chartered Financial Analyst title and has been co-founder and steering committee member of 30% Club Poland, a social campaign promoting diversity at board boards and C-level executives.
Iweta holds a Ph.D in economics. She has graduated Warsaw University (PhD), Warsaw School of Economics (Msc) and Aarhus School of Business (Msc). She held a scholarship at Freie Universitat Berlin and at Denver University (USA).
