
Maria Krawczyńska-Kaczmarek
Expert and leader in sustainability, ESG and sustainable finance. She is actively involved in the development and promotion of sustainability in local and international initiatives. President of the Management Board of the Responsible Business Forum Association. Initiator, founding member and member of the Supervisory Board of POLSIF Association - Sustainable Investment Forum Poland. Member of the Working Groups within the Sustainable Finance Platform at the Ministry of Finance Poland. Member of the ESG Committee of the Polish Chamber of Commerce and the ESG Innovators Council of the Polish ESG Association. Member of the Polish Sustainable Agriculture and Food Association.
Member of EFRAG Banking Advisory Panel - an advisory body supporting the preparation of sectoral ESRSs (previously, she was a member of the working group preparing the first set of ESRS standards in 2021-2023).
Currently Director, Sustainability and Reputational Risk at Standard Chartered Bank. From 2017 to 2023 she was responsible for the management of the Sustainability Strategy of BNP Paribas Bank, the creation of the Sustainability area in the bank, the introduction of integrated reporting as well as the development of sustainable finance tools and the creation of a competence center for structuring sustainable products. She has also gained professional experience in sustainability in, among others, the Deloitte Sustainability Consulting Central Europe team and Tchibo Warsaw.
She is a graduate of doctoral studies at the Warsaw School of Economics and postgraduate studies Professional Supervisory Board at Kozminski University, as well as Sustainable Finance at Cambridge University. She firmly believes in the synergy of business and social goals, with the motto „the human being first”.
