Radosław L. Kwaśnicki

Senior Partner at RKKW Law Firm. Holds a doctorate in law and is professionally qualified as a legal advisor. An expert in company law, including corporate governance and group company law. He also specialises in ownership disputes, capital market and professionally chairs general meetings. He advises on various aspects of the creation and development of family businesses (creation of family governance rules, management and protection of private assets) and wealthy individuals (High-Net-Worth Individuals). Serves as a Judge of the Stock Exchange Court at the Warsaw Stock Exchange and as an Arbitrator of the Permanent Court of Arbitration at the Polish General Prosecutor’s Office.

He has several years of practical experience as a member or chairman of supervisory boards of domestic and foreign companies. In particular, from 2014 to 2019 he served as a member and then as vice-chairman of the supervisory board of ORLEN as well as of a number of companies with a majority private shareholding. Currently, he sits, as an independent member, among others, on the supervisory boards of public companies Sanok Rubber Company (designated by a foreign fund) and Creotech Instruments (as chairman).

Frequently recommended, both domestically and internationally, including by the daily newspaper “Rzeczpospolita” in the Ranking of Law Firms (in 2019, 2020, 2021) in the field of “Company Law and Commercial Law” and earlier by Global Law Experts and European Legal Experts. In 2014, he was awarded first place in the Forbes Professionals competition, has been awarded the “Recommended Lawyer” distinction in the Legal500 EMEA ranking (in 2020, 2021, 2022, 2023, 2024) in the areas of Dispute Resolution, Private Client and Commercial, Corporate and M&A.

He serves as a domestic and international arbitrator (e.g. in the Court of Arbitration at the National Chamber of Commerce, the Court of Arbitration at the Lewiatan Confederation, the Court of Arbitration (Arbitration) at the Polish Bank Association). He has adjudicated at the International Court of Arbitration at the International Chamber of Commerce – ICC in Paris.

He is lecturer on Kozminski University (Akademia Leona Koźmińskiego) in Warsaw and co-author of textbooks and commentaries, as well as publications on practical aspects of business law. His output includes more than 600 publications, most of them on company law.

Since 2008, he has been actively involved in numerous legislative works resulting, inter alia, in amendments to the Code of Commercial Companies, including the reform popularising remote meetings of supervisory and management boards of capital companies and ownership meetings held with the use of electronic communication means, as well as resulting in modifications in the organisation of management and supervisory boards of capital companies

He is socially active, including acting as the General Coordinator of the “We are Together. We help”, which, during the first stage of the SARS-CoV-2 coronavirus pandemic, organised the activities of more than seventy private companies in providing assistance, the material value of which exceeded PLN 50 million.
