Monika Kaczorek
Monika Kaczorek is currently an independent member of the Supervisory Board and the Audit Committee of the insurance company TUiR Unum Życie S.A. Monika is also a member of the Council of the Foundation for Reporting Standards of the Association of Listed Companies.
Monika has over 25 years of well-established experience in advising and auditing financial statements for entities from various sectors of the economy, mainly for listed companies, financial institutions and insurance companies, as well as industrial and service enterprises mainly from the energy, technology, food, pharmaceutical, real estate and consulting industries. He has extensive theoretical knowledge and extensive practical experience in the application of International Financial Reporting Standards, Polish accounting standards and non-financial reporting.
Since 2001 he has been a certified auditor. In the term 2023-2027, a member of the National Audit Committee of the Polish Chamber of Statutory Auditors. In the years 2019-2023 she was the deputy president of the National Council of Statutory Auditors, and in the years 2015-2019 a member of the National Council of Statutory Auditors.
From 1994 to 2020, partner of the international audit and advisory network Mazars and vice-president of the management board of Mazars Audyt, head of the audit practice and leader in quality and risk management (internal audit, risk management and quality control of the Mazars network in Poland). She managed numerous teams auditing separate and consolidated financial statements, including entities listed on the Warsaw Stock Exchange, as well as performing other assurance and advisory services. Member of the Mazars Task Force IFRS and the quality control teams of the Mazars Group.
Monika actively participates in legislative processes concerning, m.in the Act on Statutory Auditors, the Accounting Act, standards of performing the profession of a statutory auditor.
Speaker at numerous conferences and seminars. Animator of trainings and lectures in the field of accounting, financial and non financial reporting as well as standards of services provided by statutory auditors. Author of numerous publications in the field of audit and financial management. Since 2010, she has been a member of the jury of the "Best Annual Report" competition organized by the Institute of Accounting and Taxes, awarding the best annual reports of listed companies.
Graduated of the University of Warsaw, the Warsaw School of Economics and Kozminski University.
