Sławomir Kościak
CFA charterholder and Licensed Investment Advisor (license no. 303). Capital market professional with unique expertise in medicine. Slawomir managed healthcare funds investing in Polish, European and US listed equities, and currently he serves at four Supervisory Boards of biotech and medtech companies. He acts as a member of the Supervisory Board and of the Audit Committee at Mabion, where he helped to restructure the company and refocus on the CDMO business. He is also a member of the Supervisory Board and of the Nomination and Remuneration Committee at Medicalgorithmics S.A. The company divested recently the US loss-making distribution business Medi-Lynx and executed PLN 220M investment agreement with a strategic US-based investor Biofund. Additionally, Slawomir is a member of the Supervisory Board and of the Audit Committee at Urteste, a Polish R&D company developing early cancer diagnostic tests, and a member of the Supervisory Board at Auxilius Pharma Sp. z o. o., a Polish-US biotech start-up.
Sławomir has over 10 years of international experience in asset management. He worked at the European Investment Fund in Luxembourg and the Morgan Stanley real estate fund in Frankfurt. In 2009-2020, he managed a variety of funds and investment strategies at TFI PZU: equity, balanced and absolute return funds. Member of the Investment Committee, AUM over PLN 20 billion. From 2014, as the Director in Healthcare Department at TFI PZU, he was responsible for investments in companies from the healthcare sector: pharma/biotech, medtech, providers, health insurance, etc.
A graduate of the Warsaw School of Economics, major in Finance and Banking, and CEMS MIM (Community of European Management Schools - Master's in International Management). He also studied at the Aarhus School of Business in Denmark and Universität zu Köln in Germany. A scholarship holder of the Educational Entrepreneurship Foundation. He lectured classes for securities brokers (ZMiD) and for investment advisors (PERK), and staged as a guest speaker at various conferences and business seminars.
